Alex Behar is a Vice President at Cultivian Sandbox. Prior to Cultivian Sandbox, Alex was a Manager at Monitor Deloitte South Africa, where he worked on strategy and innovation projects focused on agriculture and energy. In particular, he spent several years developing a corporate innovation unit investing in emerging technologies in agriculture, water and energy. Prior to Monitor Deloitte, he was an Associate at RBB Economics, a UK-based competition economics advisory firm.

Alex supports the Fund’s investments in Novihum, Sound Agriculture and Phylagen. Alex earned an MBA from INSEAD, where he received the Syngenta Scholarship, and an MA in Economics from the University of Cape Town, where his research was focused on agricultural development.
